Most Ukrainians believe that the construction of new power units at the Khmelnytskyi NPP should be postponed until the end of the war, when the threat to the physical safety of nuclear power plants disappears. According to a survey conducted by the Info Sapiens agency on behalf of the NGO ‘EcoAction’, 68% of respondents oppose the implementation of this project right now.

This research was conducted by the Info Sapiens agency on behalf of the NGO ‘EcoAction’ with the support of the Heinrich Böll Foundation, Bureau Kyiv – Ukraine and ‘Friends of the Earth Norway’ in October – December 2024. The goal of this research is to obtain objective and balanced data about the population’s attitude towards nuclear energy and its role in the future recovery of Ukraine.
